Luke Warm Christians: Perilous Times Will Come

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:  For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,  unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
What "perilous times" was the apostle Paul speaking of? The world, since the beginning of time, has always known perilous times. There has always been tribulations, persecutions, and hardships. These things have been seen by every generation. I am persuaded, in my studies of God's and history, that the "perilous times"  the apostle Paul was speaking about is the events that happen just before the Great Tribulation period which is still to come and I believe, it will come, in the very near future.
How many people who claim to be Christians really know and believe that we are living in the last days? I dare say not many!  Most true, blood bought, Christians know that we are living in the last days, so why does the church world, in general not see the same thing? The answer is this: It is because Satan has been very good at deceiving the church world. What I mean is this: Most of the church world's interest, their attention, and their thoughts are centered around the things of this present world, with not much at all of the heavenly things. They are not concerned about the rapture of the church or of things to come. The interest in most churches today is of prosperity and greed. They think of nothing else. So where does that leave the church world? IN PERILOUS TIMES!
One of the most shifty and sneaky characteristics about the “perilous times of these Last Days” is the spiritual and religious deception that will spread through out the world. Deception, lying spirits, wonders, a deceiving doctrine and false movements in the last days will be the greeting and the calling card of the Antichrist and the False Prophet. Many churches today not only deny the doctrinal truths of the Bible, but they also integrated (bring into the church) and merged some of the most sacrilegious and profane ideals in the world, into the very makeup of the church. Most churches today are seeker-friendly and teach a “feel good” gospel that never offends, leaving out basic truths like sin, and hell. You never hear what you are being saved from!  I got news for these churches: "The Word of God is like a two edge sword and it can cut both ways! People need to hear about God's love, His Mercy, and His grace, but the people also need to hear about sin, what sin is, and hell!
What is the Christian's responsibility to Christ in the last days?  (Romans 12:1)  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Paul tells us what is to be expected of Christians in theses last days. "Be not conformed to this world". How we need some old time preachers who will preach the message of sanctification, God's Love, sin, and the rewards of sin, HELL!! We need preachers who are not weak kneed and stand on the truth of God's Holy Word! We need some men of God who will preach a well round Gospel. Ones that will speak the truth, in love, and deliver their souls. Ones that can say: "Lord I have did what you called me to do!"
Don't expect that the Rapture will occur before the "time of trouble" in America or other countries. There could be great calamities and tragedies in this and other counties before the rapture of the church. Many Christians are going through tribulation right now and there is no reason to think that Christians in America or any other country will escape the tribulations while their nations are rejecting God and living in evil. (We are not speaking of the Great Tribulation here, but the tribulations that will come just before to it) Those who even try to live a Godly life and speak out on Spiritual issues will be hated and persecuted just for speaking the truth.
What is the Christian”s obligation to the church world and society in these last days? We are to be a light to a world that is in spiritual darkness. We need to find out what we can expect and what we need to do to survive. As Christians we should be grateful, because we have a guide that lays out the entire last days scene from the beginning to the end. It called The Holy Bible!
