The Truth Hurts

What a great blessing that we can still turn on our TV and have someone like Glenn Beck to give us truths that most Americans do not know or do not want to hear! I believe that God is using him, in his position, in these last days to show America the road that they are on. He has opened up a door that is full of truth. Most of us already know what he is saying, but it needs to be said over and over again until it sinks in to the American people. We, as a nation, are on the broad road that leads to destruction and he is simply telling it like it is. Some people are calling him everything in the book, but the truth hurts them and it is cutting them to the quick! I have yet found anything that he has said that is not the truth! His basic message is this: “America must return to God” and it is the truth!

The American people have a responsibility and a duty to step out from the shadows, the gloom, and the darkness that has come over our land and to help lead in rescuing our country from the chaos and deep mess that it is in, just like Glenn Beck is doing. There is no time for a silent majority who says and does nothing. First we as a nation must realize what has got us, to the point we are at. The answer is so simple that a blind man can see it. This nation has turned its back on God. This nation may have a form of godliness but that is about it. Just a outward appearance. We are fast becoming a godless nation and in due time (if it is not already happening) “We will reap what we sow”. When a nations moral fiber is missing, destroyed, or misplaced trouble will always come. If you are a reader of the Bible you can see this as well as I do. The American people must return to their first love. The love of God and His commandments. Yes! God’s commandments and laws have everything to do with it.

To put everything in terms that everybody will understand let us look at the history of this country. This country was founded on Christianity and the teachings that are found between the pages of that Book. The founding fathers of this country knew that and based every decision that they made accordingly. Because of this our nation (that was under God) prospered. We have lived better and prospered more than any other nation in the world. God did indeed shed His Grace on us. We prospered and became strong. We became a world leader. Just research what some of our great leaders from the past have said about God and His Word. There is more about George Washington than him crossing the Delaware. He was a spiritual man. Just read some of his writings and speeches. The same can be said about the rest of our forefathers. For the most part they were also godly men. The walls of our nation are broken and the enemy floods in. I am speaking spiritually. But not only that there is a enemy from within that would destroy us.

But now because of the sins of the people, the sins of the leadership, and just plain turning our back on God we find ourselves in a cross roads. What the people do in the very near future will make or break this country forever. We can go into bondage to serve other nations and other gods or we, as a nation, can repent return to God and ask His divine help in restoring this great nation. What will it be America? Will you be one of the ones who stand up?

How does anybody expect God to bless a country that has turned their back on Him? The laws of this nation was founded on His word. Now any sign of Christianity has been taken down. The ten commandment, pictures of Christ, and you name it are now not allowed in our court rooms or government buildings. Christmas carols about the Lord are no longer allowed in our schools and if you are politically correct you will say happy holidays instead of “MERRY CHRISTMAS”. Once there was Bible reading and prayer in school, now it is not allowed. We allow abortions on demand, Homosexuals parade our streets, get married in our churches, and it is being taught in our schools that it is okay for Adam to marry Steve. A persons mind has to be deranged to even consider this let alone allow it! No wonder home schooling is growing by leaps and bounds among the Christian community. We have heard our president telling other middle east countries that we are no longer a Christian nation. He also has said that the Bible and our constitution is out of date, and the list goes on and on. The scripture says “Forever thy word is settled in Heaven” and also “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet” Yes this nation has turned its back on God.

I have asked this question before, but it needs to be asked again. Will our nation be like Sodom and Gomorrah? Will we continue down the same path of ungodliness, as we are going now, or will we be like Nineveh that repented of their wicked ways? We must take the blinders off our eyes and see where we come from and what ready made us a great nation. Then we must look at what we are doing now and where we are headed. We as a nation must chose this day who we will serve! As for me and my house, well we will serve the Lord. We will abide by and keep His commandments.

AND TIME WILL BE NO MORE!

download (1)

We are living in an age or period of time that is of overwhelming concern and importance to everyone of us, or at least it should be. But to many it is just another day. The whole world is in turmoil. Political leaders, congressman, lawmakers, and legislators, men and women who hold positions of trust and authority, thinking men and women of all classes, Important People, who most people have faith in and have confidence in, have their attention focused and are all ears upon the events taking place around us. People are watching the strained, restless relations that exist between countries. Thousands of people scrutinize and examine the intensity that is taking possession of every earthly factor, and they realize this one thing, that something great and decisive, something that is critical, is about to happen. They know that the world is on the threshold of a tremendous predicament. It is on the verge of disaster. These people are just starting to realize this, but the Bible has predicted this and has never failed to be right as politicians and the government is.
Even with all the signs that are taking place, there are many people who make fun of and ridicule at the idea that this world will come to and end. They laugh at the Bible. There is even a well-liked song, "It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)". That song makes fun of and mocks the idea of the end of the world and people being prepared and ready for it. People are just deceived and they must get into a right frame of mind before it is to late. Time is winding up. Most Americans are more worried about their trip to the beach than the condition of the world and this country. As long as their boat is not rocked they could care less. There is a people who can see the writing on the wall and they are God’s people. If it was not for their prayers and seeking God for this country we would be in a lot worse condition.

The Bible gives us the truth about what is really happening, it says that Angels are even now restraining and stopping the winds of strife, that they may not blow until the world can be warned of its coming doom. But there is a tempest that is gathering, ready to erupt upon the earth; and when God tell His angels loose the winds, there will be a scene of trouble and discord that no one can imagine. You think things are bad now just wait for the coming conflict and the wrath that is coming to this world. Only those who are ready will escape.
The Bible, and the Bible only, gives us the correct view of things that will take place. Not no world leader, not the president, not congress, Only the Bible reveals the great and final scenes of the history of our country and this world. The events taking place today are a forerunner and a sign to the final events which even by their drawing near cause the earth to tremble and shake.

We Reap What We Sow!!

images

While The Apostle Paul was encouraging Christians at Corinth to share and do good, he also reminds them of the principle of sowing and reaping. If the history of this world and our own past has taught us anything it is that every cause or its root brings a end product, every action has a outcome or a consequence. There is a old saying. If a man plants watermelons he will reap watermelons; if he sows lima beans, he will reap lima beans." And this is true of everyone's life; good brings forth good, and evil leads to evil.
It is true, the sun shines on the saint and the sinner alike, and too often it seems that the wicked prosper. But this is not so in the overall picture. A person can say with certainty that, with the individual as well as our nation or any other nation, the flourishing of the wicked is an a doubt life keeps books on all of us. In the end, we are all, everyone of us, the product of our actions and we shall suffer the consequences. The character of people cannot be counterfeited or imitated, nor can it be put on and or cast off as if it were a piece of closes, to meet the inclination or yen of the moment. Just like the markings on a piece of wood which are ingrained and embedded in the very heart of the tree, character requires time and nurturing for growth
and development. Because of this, everyday, we write our own future and destiny; we become what we do. We are what we do. The repercussions and the outcome of this principle and Bible scripture (we reap what we sow) are very important, and worthy of the concerns of each and every one of us.
What we are today and tomorrow and the next day, Is because of what we did yesterday. Our situation, outlook, nature, disposition, and other things, is the result of our actions in the past. We cannot lay the blame on genetics or something we inherited, our surroundings, our parents, or the society in which we live. These things influence and persuade us only to the level that we let them. We must accept the blame for our actions. It is our responsibility to know right from wrong and to do right. Just remember God will demand it of us one day! For we must all appear and be revealed as we are before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive [his pay] according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil [considering what his purpose and motive have been, and what he has achieved, been busy with, and given himself and his attention to accomplishing]. 2Co 5:10

GOD AND COUNTRY - or is it gods and country

images

Is America’s national religion becoming polytheistic,( the worship of or belief in more than one deity, especially several deities) Can you go back, as I can, to a place in time where political speeches, public schools, ball games and civic organizations openly included scriptural passages and prayer into their public and private functions. In some places at certain times this is still true, but for the most part, “Today, Christianity is not only being eliminated and done away with from the public square, but there looks like a new social religion seems to be emerging to take its place. People with spiritual eyes can truly see this. How did this come to be? How can it be? The main reason is the hatred of the deliberately unrepentant and unashamed people to the gospel, they have no remorse. They just do not want to hear anything about Christ. They are in complete darkness.
Our civil institutions and our society, our culture grew out of Biblical views that came straight from God’s Word. Our nation was founded on Christianity and now we are being told that we are no longer a Christian nation, but a nation of many religions. We do have many religions in this country but our laws, and our way of life are based on Christianity. We were a people that was saved by faith then and we still are today. I’m not only talking about eternal life which is the goal of every Christian but also the temporal things such as God’s blessings on us and our nation. I’m talking about the faith that the pilgrims had in our savior as they landed at Plymouth Rock. Faith for a better life. I’m talking the about the faith of our fore fathers as they framed the constitution and sought the Lords guidance as they did it. These founding fathers looked to Jesus Christ for guidance in everything that they did. What happen between then and now?
Anthropologists ( that deal with parts of Christian doctrine that are concerned with the nature, origin, and destiny of humankind) say that society tends to create a cultural religion, that is enlightening, artistic, educational and social in order to give its institutions a sacred authority.”; legitimizing that society’s demand for obedience. Yet Christianity does not do this – our religious heritage is important to our perception of who we are and how we behave but never demanding we agree with all the policies and programs of a government or that we give complete allegiance to any particular political entity. Christianity does teach that God works through civic institutions, calling on believers to be good citizens. (Romans 13) Most other world religions being distinctly related to a specific culture, at times imposing their will by force, (we see that now in most Muslim countries) whereas Christianity works to change cultures from within by the gospel and love. As such, “Christians can accordingly be both patriotic and spiritual, as long as they do not confuse the two domains, and keep their commitments straight.”
It has become very alarming to me and for most christians, now, that clearly and plainly we see Christian elements that have made their way into America’s civil religion… are being eliminated and removed. The reasons given for this are not so much secularism or the belief that religion and religious bodies should have no part in political or civic affairs or in running public institutions, that religion has no place in the public square, but of a religious mixture.” We are told that It’s not fair to show a preference or partiality to a particular religion, all are worthy of respect and should be equally embraced; so they say. (Or equally ignored as superstition) The question Is that really true or wise?
“As government officials and, certain elements of, the public insist on recognizing the authority and equal representation of all religions,” (explained by the government as diversity) “what this may amount to is a new civil religion. This one will result, in a polytheistic religion, that will recognize and paying homage to many gods.” For instance, to commemorate the terrorist attacks of 9/11, an issue was made for interfaith involvement; Muslims, Jews, Sikhs, Catholics and Protestants all having a place at the podium. Most legislatures still open with prayer; now often led by a Muslim Imam or Buddhist monk. Prison chaplains are represented by a number of faiths and cults (including Wicca), while schools attempt to, “celebrate all religions while restricting Christian faith principles and use of their facilities by believers.” What is wrong with this picture? If you are a avid Bible reader like I am you will read over and over again where God wanted all the people of the conquered lands to be destroyed because if they were not they and their religion would be a thorn in the side of His people. Saul lost his kingship because he disobeyed God about this very thing. I’m not advocating the destruction of anybody but I wanted you to see just how serious god thought this problem was.
At first glance, when we look at this, the switching of our memorial, dedicatory and commemorative services from inter-denominational to interfaith participation may seem appropriate and an advance of civilized behavior. But that is not so! In reality it is nothing more than a return to being culturally and social conquered” to the Pagan ways of long ago. Rome was religiously wide-ranging, working all the cultural religions into a single civil religion, and it was famously tolerant of all religions. It’s tolerance ended, though, when it came to Christianity, which condemned the other gods as idols and insisted that Christ was the only way to salvation.” As a result, many Christians paid for their supposed intolerance with their livelihoods and their lives. I believe that this will happen again if we are not on our guard. We do not need another altar to an unknown God, for we know our God!
We must stand firm and hold fast to our faith in Christ and the legacy of our founding fathers. Pray like we never have before, seek Christ always and remember it is faith that moves mountains!
