The Believer's Faith

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.      (Hebrews 11:6)

Throughout the Bible, the faith of God's people was never slack on any thing or did they excepts things that were happening, it was a faith of action, whether they were in battle, seeking God for a answer, in deed, and what ever they set out to do, they had the faith that God was going to see them through. How many Christians today have that kind of faith? How many have that faith that says: "I know my God will see me through. My Lord can move this mountain".

If Abraham had never acted on his faith in God's promises, He would never have departed to the “land of milk and honey” or would he have been the father of a new nation. If Moses never acted on his faith in God, he would never have led the children of Israel out of Egypt. The Israelites would still be in Egypt, slaves to the Egyptians. If David never acted on His faith in God's word, He would never have defeated Goliath, let alone go out to met him. All these men of God had faith, They had the kind of faith that moves mountains. The Bible has many stories of God's people in times past whose faith was put into action. It was a action which God met His people with supernatural power to bring about miracles and results that have stood the test of time! The Lord is a re warder of faith! Even faith as small as a mustard seed.  If faith believing Christians would put their faith into action, we would see a new day of miracles. Miracles that would shock not only the worldly Christians but the whole world. Having faith is simply taking God at His word and then acting on it. Let faith arise in your souls. Take that step of faith! In order for any of us to receive anything from God we must:
  • Diligently seek Him with our whole heart.
  • Believe and have faith that He is a re warder of them that come to him in faith believing.
  • Believe in him and have faith that He will do what He said He would do.
  • Believe that not only that God exist but also that He the great "I AM" and by that He can do anything. After all He made the earth and all its fullness, so what can't He do?
We can read in Hebrews Chapter 11 that these men of faith had more than just a faith in general, but rather they had great faith! As Children of God we must have great faith also. That great faith faith can be as small as a mustard seed as long as it is directed in the right place. Without this kind of faith no mountains in our life would ever be moved. Without the faith in the atoning death of our Savior we have no faith at all. Faith in the fact that Jesus bleed and died for us is the foundation of our faith.

When the believer comes to the point in his life when he can truly say: "I AM WEAK, BUT THOU ART STRONG" he then realizes that he has to trust God for everything and to allow the Holy Spirit to do it for him, that which he can not do on his own. That is when he will find great strength and GREAT FAITH!
