A CALLED OUT PEOPLE: The Church

What is the church? Is it the building down on the corner, or is it a group of churches in a large origination? Not really. The church is a group of people that meet or gather together to worship the Lord. They are a called out people and are brought together for a purpose. This group of people are called, for the most part, a congregation who has accepted Jesus as their Savior and have entrusted their lives to Him and they come together to worship Him in the spirit and the truth. There is a local church and then there is the world wide group of people who is also called the church. If a person is a born again follower of the Lord then they are a part of the church.

The church is made up of "Called Out People." They are called out of this world and it's sin and have become a member of that heavenly kingdom. They are separated from a corrupt world system with all its life styles. They are just passing through, because this world is not there home. Their treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue. While they are here on earth they are God's representatives and should conduct their self as such. This is where some professing Christians fail short.

The truth about the church demands that it's people stay away from the worldly and immoral behavior and anything else that is not right in the eyes of God. It  makes no difference if it is at a gathering of people, or where you are at, or what you are doing. That even means to stay away from things that are not right on the internet, such as some of the things and people on Face Book. How can people be your friends when they talk trash on your Face Book Page? God wants His presence to be seen and felt by His followers {the church}. Anything that is not God's standard must be avoided by the church. We are a Holy people that is separated from this world and separated to Christ for His purpose.

The church of The Lord Jesus Christ is a army of believers that is involved in a spiritual conflict and it is not fought with earthly weapons, but with spiritual weapons. Ephesians 6: 10-17 tells us this:  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,  and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

The church is a spiritual fellowship, a group of believers who share a common relationship in their love for God, their love for each other, and their worship of the Lord. The purpose of the church is to be a witness of a common love and a care for one another. We must love every brother or sister, in the Lord, no matter what their station in life is. There is no respect of person with God. The true church is a pillar and the foundation of the truth. It must guard and uphold the truth and defend against false teachers and others who would change and twist the truth of the gospel of our Lord. We have many false doctrines creeping into our churches such as Chrislam that we as believers know is wrong. We, as Christians, can only serve one master. My parting thought is this: Is your local church built on that solid Rock? On that solid rock we stand, all other is sinking sand!
