Spiritual Separation: Not Isolation!

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for whatfellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? Andwhat communion hath light with darkness?  (
2 Corinthians 6:14)
Separation is two fold:   A Christian is to be separated from sin and separated to Christ!
This is a Christian principal that believers are always in danger of erroring in because some have a lot of difficulty in applying the right thought found here. Many Christians have misunderstood the scripture found here. Paul was not demanding isolation in this verse, but separation. Two totally different ways of thinking. We read in the Bible were Jesus ate with sinners and talked to them, but He never, once, compromised the principles of holiness and righteousness. He never compromised or bowed down to the opinion of sinners nor did He give into anything that was against the word of God. If we isolate ourselves how are we going to let our light shine for the Lord? So it is not isolation that Paul was talking about here, it was separation.

A Christian's relationship with unbelievers should be centered centered on what is necessary and appropriate for the social and the daily economical purposes of the Christians life, to show people the way to salvation by the blood of Jesus Christ. The most important association for Christians is to have a deep and close relationship with other believers, because there is were a Christian can relate on spiritual matters. Where two or three are gathered together in His name He is in their mist!

Our fellowship, with the Lord, is based upon the broken body and the shed blood of Christ and therefore should never be corrupted by an unequal or a one sided yoke. The truth is that light and darkness cannot possibly, in no way, at the same time exist in one person. Jesus is the light of the world and He came into the world and He was rejected by man, because man would rather have darkness, and we, as followers of the Lord, who are the Light, we must not be found in communion or sharing, with the darkness of sin and unbelief. Because it is not possible for harmony or an  agreement to exist between the Lord and the Devil, we, who are followers of Christ, cannot find agreement, or harmony, with those who are in agreement, or harmony, with the Devil in their unbelief and rejection of the Word of God. It is impossible to do this!

In Colossians 1:12,  Christians are called “partakers of the inheritance. ” We are, as believers, and shareholders in the household of the faith are a part of the body of Christ, the church. There is a line That is drawn in the sand between those who are in God’s kingdom and those who are in Satan's kingdom. What portion does one who has faith  have with one who has no faith ? The call for separation, that we are talking about here goes far beyond the marriage between a man and woman. A Christian, who is obedient and believes in the word of God, cannot be in a religious yoke with one who does not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and denies the faith. A believer cannot be in fellowship with a non believer of God's word on any  basis. He can have no share nor part with the unbelief of a sinner, or with a denial of the the Christian faith.  The Lord cannot be in agreement with the Devil. The is just a plain and simple fact. What fellowship can light have with darkness? Even though we must be of a kind nature to everybody, There is a line in the sand that must not and cannot be crossed! We cannot never compromise the word of God. I will close this article with these five thoughts from the Bible:

  • What fellowship hath righteousness have with unrighteousness?
  • What communion hath light with darkness?
  • What agreement hath the temple of God with idols?
  • What part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
  • What concord hath Christ with Belial?

I AM That I Am!

And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’  [Exodus 3:14]
When God commanded Moses to lead Israel out of slavery in Egypt into the promised land (Canaan), God said, “I am the God who was worshiped by your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob”. When Moses asked what God’s name was, God replied, “tell them that the LORD, whose name is ‘I Am,’ has sent you. The title that the Lord gave Himself here is of great importance. Names that are connected with our Lord, in the scriptures, go along with the needs of the people, like Jehovah Jireh: "The Lord will provide", Jehovah Shalom: "The Lord of our peace", Jehovah Nissi: "The Lord is my Banner", and there are a lot more, but I think you get the point. As we look at all these titles we see that they are to show us Jesus is the one who will meet all our necessities for ever. That is why He is the great "I AM". He is everything to us!

The Hebrew name Yahweh is, in most Bible verses and studies, is related to the Hebrew verb "to be" and could mean “I am the one who is” or “I will be what I will be” or “I am the one who causes to be.” These possible meanings of the sacred name show that Yahweh is the God who is, Who will be, and Who causes to be. Yahweh, God, is the source of all that is and will fulfill his purpose for the people of God and for the whole creation for ever. The "I AM" of the burning bush is nothing less than our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!

In John, Jesus uses the two words  “I am” to connect himself to these aspects of God's nature and to describe what God has given him to do, here on this earth,  for people, for the lost, for the dying. Jesus identifies himself as the one who supplies all needs (“I am the bread that gives life,” John 6.35) and who brings the knowledge about God to people (“I am the light of the world,” John 8.12). Jesus also uses the "I AM" title in the Bible to identify himself as the way for people to find God and become God's people (“I am the gate for the sheep,” John 10.7-16); and “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” John 14.6). Jesus says “I am the true vine” and that his people are “the branches." By making these comparisons to the Jewish Scriptures, Jesus shows that he has been in God’s plan from the beginning: “even before Abraham was, I was, and I am” (John 8.58).
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”  In that name "I AM THAT I AM" we have a name that no earthly mind will ever fathom. He is without beginning and without end. No one can say, but Him, "I AM THAT I AM"

THE MIDNIGHT HOUR: Trim Your Lamps!

"Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!' Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.' And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!' But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.' Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.            (Matthew 25:1-13)

This parable in Matthew 25 is a warning to the entire body of Christ to be ready with your oil! This was not a warning to sinners. Each of these virgins was anticipating the Lord's return; none were atheists, or non-believers. They were all virgins who claimed to be awaiting the Bridegroom's arrival. But notice carefully that only half of them were truly ready.

In the ancient Temple era the Aaronic priests were in charge of lighting the lamp of God and keeping it burning. Their main responsibilities included trimming the wicks, refilling the lamp constantly with fresh oil, and making sure it never burned out. It is plain to see that parallel can be drawn between the priesthood of Aaron and the New Covenant priesthood of Melchizedek and Jesus. Both are responsible to keep the lamps burning!

If you are a Christian and are you feeling burned out? Then trim your wick by getting rid of the useless things in your life, that are nor needed and dig deeper into God's Word. If you are feeling like you are spiritually drained? Then wait on the Lord and ask Him for a fresh anointing. Wait on the Lord. Keeping the lamp burning (the light) of God is the responsibility of all true believers; we are the keepers of that light; so trim your lamp today and keep your lamp burning bright for the Lord. Let's be like the wise virgins, who were anxiously awaiting the Lord's return! This preparation should be on going, with the anticipation of the Lord's appearing at any time. The moral of this story teaches constant consecration and being ever so watchful for the Lords return. Sing out: "We are getting ready to leave this world".

Every believer should live as if the rapture could take place at anytime, even at a time when you would least expect it, in other words be ready. Many believers would like the Lord to come while they are at church and that may very well be for some, but for others it will be at the midnight hour when they think not. Be ready my brothers and sisters!

I Will Rejoice In The Lord!

I Will Never Leave Thee Or Forsake Thee
Although the fig tree shall not blossom , neither shall fruit be in the vines;the labour of the olive shall fail , and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.The LORD God is my strength, Although the fig tree shall not blossom , neither shall fruit be in the vines;the labour of the olive shall fail , and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: [Habakkuk 3: 17-19]
                                                                                            One of the realities of living in the world is that a large number of people are completely consumed by the difficult economic situations, that not only exists in this country, but that exists in the entire world. Sometimes it seems looks like to a child of God the unjust are prospering and the righteous has been forsaken, but we must remember that God has promised His people that He would never leave you, nor forsake you. Here is what Habakkuk said,
  • Although the fig tree shall not blossom, yet I will rejoice in the Lord.
  • Although there shall not be fruit in the vines, yet I will rejoice in the Lord.
  • Although the labour of the olive shall fail, yet I will rejoice in the Lord.
  • Although the fields shall yield no meat, yet I will rejoice in the Lord.
  • Although the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls yet I will rejoice in the Lord.
Habakkuk said, although...., yet will I rejoice in the Lord. I will rejoice in the Lord of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength and He will make my feet like hinds' feet, and He will make me walk upon mine high places. Therefore, I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth. That is the same way every servant of the Lord should look at it also. When we look and see the condition that this present world is in sometimes we become discouraged, but we must remember that we are serving a true and living God. We're serving a God that sits high and looks low. A God that has all power in His hands, a God that will defend His own. So regardless of the problems or the  solutions our God is still in control. I will rejoice in the Lord, for he has assure me in His word that he would not leave his children nor will he forsake us, and He, also, told us in this world that we would have trials and tribulation, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.

When we reflect on what's happening in the world today, and the future events that we know are about to happen, we are suddenly faced with two possibilities. What are the two possibilities: (1) We can trust and rely in the political, military, and financial experts, or any other authority that opines makes decisions that will affect the future of this country and the world or (2) We can trust God and His Word. We can trust and obey. The great reality is that life of a true believer can only rely one thing and that is trusting in God and His Word. Throughout the history, of the world, there have always been big government, powerful countries, or empires that have mastered or conquered a large portion of the world, but despite their military and economic power, none have never remained for ever. Sooner or later all have fallen, and others are about to fal, including the USA. But something that has always remained constant, and that will always remain is the ,Word of God. This is something that is clearly expressed by the prophet Isaiah as we can see in Isaiah 40:8 when we read: “…The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever...”  And we can also see the same words clearly expressed by Jesus Christ in Mark 13:31: "...Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away...."

No one is going to have a big party or dance in the street to celebrate the fact that there is no jobs, no food on the table, the bank is about to repossess their home, or automobile. But the truth is this, Habakkuk is not saying, in these verses, that he would be having a party to celebrate the terrible situations, that are close at hand, that they would face. We, as Christians, can choose between being depressed all the time, devastation, and sadness, or  staying in a place of joy, in God’s presence. We can choose between trusting in our strength, or trusting in God’s power. How can a believer remain strong in these uncertain times? A believer can remain strong in these uncertain times only when he learns to trust and fully depend in God.

Who Has Believed Our Report?

 Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them. But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him,  that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: “ Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?” Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going.  While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them: {John 12: 35-38}
 The apostle John quotes Isaiah 53:1, saying to whom has the  arm of the Lord been revealed? It’s a question that God answers throughout the rest of Isaiah 53, describing in detail the life of Jesus and the ultimate price He would pay for you sins, my sins, and the sins of the world.                                            Jesus was saying in verse 35 that He is the light, their day was just about gone and that eternal darkness is coming. Jesus is the light of the world and they rejected Him, which most people still do today, so there is nothing left but darkness and that darkness has come upon untold millions. Sad to say even the USA, which is suppose to be a Christian nation is not really a Christian nation any more. That is the truth even if some of you reading this will not accept it. There are a few Christians let in this country, but not many. We are getting to be the minority. For the most part our country has turn its back on the Savior. Most people, in this country today, do not know or understand where this country has been, where it is now, and where it is headed. Because when a nation rejects God, there is no direction, no purpose, and no moral or spiritual values anymore. Our generation, for the most part, is one without any values and the God given values are often ridiculed and rejected by the people. They have their own values, which really, is none at all!

The word   revealed,  {Isaiah 53:1} in Hebrew: "gala" has a more negative idea than the original meaning. One of its meanings is "to be stripped naked in a disgraceful way". It also means "to be treated like a captive", and "to be carried away into exile", or, "to be shamelessly uncovered". So the Lord is not simply revealed, but stripped, humiliated, and deeply degraded in order to save us. Not only was Jesus revealed to us as the Savior of the world, but it was also revealed to us all his sufferings that He went through for us, even his death on the cross. The cost He paid was extremely terrible and certainly not justified.

It's never easy for us to remember the Lord's sufferings or to even think much about it, it is hard enough to imagine an innocent human being suffering like that; but we all should remember; because the reality and the truth of the  cross at Calvary and the Lord's sufferings belongs to us in every way, and we may yet be called to endure our own share of suffering for the Lord. We never know, but the Lord does. We, as His followers, must remember His sufferings will help and prepare us for whatever that comes before us. We must, as His followers, remember how he suffered. It will keep us spiritually and morally correct in all that we do, and get us ready for our own sufferings that will come as we follow Him.

Jesus healed many people in His days on this earth, but to most people, back then, it was nothing, they still did not believe in Him and it is the same way today with people, they will not believe in Him no matter what the Lord does for them. We, as Christians, can only report the "GOOD NEWS". That is all we are accountable and responsible for. It is up to the people to make their own decision about the Lord. Many, in this world, believe but will not admit it.  When you really stop and think about it the people, in the days that Jesus walked the earth, was in good standing with the church and they rejected Him. The problem must be laid at the feet of the religious leaders of that day and for the most part it is the very same today! The church of today has the problem of "unbelieving believers".  They only want to believe what they want to believe about the word of God and then they try to explain the rest of it away. Little do they know that God's word will not come back to him void!

Difficult Times Will Come: And Why?

But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,  holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; avoid such men as these [2 Timothy 3: 1-5] NASV
I Put My Trust In Thee O Lord!
Difficult times are upon us and yes this nation as a whole has a form of Godliness, but that is just about as far as it goes. Just 55 years ago there was a different America. One that, for the the most part, lived by the word of God. Parents went to church with their children and prayed together. There was a saying then, which is so true, even in this day and age it is still true, the family that prays together stays together. There was discipline in the home and in the schools. Bible reading and prayer started the school day. The biggest crime in schools was chewing gum. Remember that? God's blessings was on this country and we prospered.  The land was before us and God was with us. We recognized that America was a Christian nation and our laws came straight from the Bible. The family was a unit that made America strong, because training started there, in the home, by Godly parents. Children were taught Godly values and were to taught to work. Nothing was handed out on a silver platter.  It was those Godly values that made America great. You can not have a Godly nation if you do not raise Godly children!

So what has happen since then to this nation?  We have turned into a anything goes nation with just about no morals at all. We have forsaken everything that is Godly. The family unit is just about gone and we are told by our leaders (Hillary Clinton) that it takes a whole village to raise a child, when we know that the scriptures tell the parents {not a whole village} to raise up a child in the way they should go. Now we have so many homes that do not even have both parents. There is no Godly values taught, no love shared, and most of all no discipline. Then we wonder why all the drug problems, murders, assaults, rapes, and other crimes have come upon us!

 There were homosexuals years ago in this country but it was a shameful thing and it was hide in a closet because most people knew it was wrong and went against God's word. But now the homosexuals parade in the street with there lovers, holding hands, getting married, having their own rights {The Christian's rights are being trashed} and laws made just for them, even wanting their own Bibles. Our children, who do not hear the word of God in school anymore, are being taught in school that being a homosexual is just a different life style, when in fact it goes against the very word of God. What hurts me the most is that in some churches the homosexuals stand behind the scared desk and preach. To me that is an abomination. This ungodly act not only is against God's word but goes against nature itself. God did not make Adam and Steve, He made Adam and Eve. This goes to show you just how depraved people are becoming. Much more could be said about our school systems, parents, and our children, but I think that the reader can get what is being pointed out here.

In those years gone by, the taking of a unborn life was against the law. The laws of the land and God's law. Now it has become legal and unborn babies can be, if the mother chooses, a throw away.  Babies that are just about full term are being aborted and it is now legal. One day the blood of those unborn aborted babies will cry up from the ground to their creator and the Lord will avenge them with His wrath. It amazes me that in this country it is illegal to kill some types of whales, certain animals, and other species but it is okay to kill unborn babies. Am I missing something here! I do not think so. Then we wonder why our country is in the shape it is in.

There was a time in this country when Christmas carols were sung in the schools.  There were song on the streets and in stores. There was mangers on lawns and at churches to show the true meaning of Christmas. The sales people in the store would greet you with "MERRY CHRISTMAS". There was a warmth that filled the air. Now due to political correctness we no longer here those words, instead it is happy holidays because we do not want to offend anybody. When the very person that is offended is the most important, JESUS CHRIST the savior of the world. How much longer will it be before there will be no more church bells ringing on Sunday morning because of political correctness. The crosses are already being moved from out side and inside our churches, song books with the sacred songs we all loved are being removed, replaced by the Koran and some churches are now being called campuses.

We now have mega churches that have thousands in attendance every Sunday. In these churches you have homosexuals, people committing adultery, fornicators, and who knows what else. Do not get me wrong it is good that they are their, but they go in a sinner and come out a sinner and think that they are saved because they do not here the whole word of God. They have their ears tickled by preachers that are looking for the big bucks and large attendance and care less about their souls. The people go to have their ears tickled and to look for their pie in the sky. What the church really needs today is an old fashion pouring out of THE HOLY GHOST were people are brought under conviction and are saved! We need preachers that are not afraid to speak the truth. We need preachers that will cry out against sin! We need churches that when you go in looking for something such as healing, deliverance, salvation, or a refreshing you can find it.  You can find it because the true love of God is there. Only just a few of those churches left today in this country. Those old brush arbors by the side of the road are gone and so are most of the camp grounds. Oh how my soul misses those days! If we want this country to turn around then lets get some preachers like the ones of old who are not afraid to stand up and tell you like it is!

We have, for the most part, ungodly leaders that make the laws of this nation. We now have, in my opinion, a ungodly leader in the White House, who has a purpose in mind and that is the finial destruction of this nation. He goes against anything Godly, anything that is right, and he has his own agenda. That agenda is the destruction of this nation as we know it. Piece by piece he is doing it as most people sit by and say nothing. In fact some professing Christians voted for him, stand by him now and all be cause of his skin color. I'm not a racist for saying that. Never have been, but it is the truth. He is a pied piper (the master of trickery) leading the people, who will follow him, to destruction. Those of you who want can follow him, but I will follow Jesus, my master, and my soon coming King!

THE PLAGUES: and they are coming!

Then I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowels of the wrath of God."  {Revelations 16:1}
Deadly diseases have always plagued the world throughout its history to some degree, but in the last twenty years we are seeing new and more deadly plagues break out in the world. One of the most recent and very deadly diseases is called Ebola and it has its origin in Africa. After a person contacts this disease, a person begins to bleed from every opening in his body and their internal organs become like mush. Death from this disease is ninety percent. Then there is another deadly disease that has come to the fore front in the past few years and it has spread so fast and more rapid than any other disease.  It is called "AIDS" . There is no known cure for Aids. According to the medical world. There are an estimated 6000 people that contact this deadly disease everyday. Let me say that again "EVERYDAY". We now have reports that are coming out of the medical world that Tuberculosis is coming back with a vengeance and is rapidly spreading.

We might ask our self why this is happening. The answer is easy.There is, for the most part, no more family structure in this country and as this country and the world get further from God, every day  with all the indecent morals and children raised with no discipline, these terrible diseases will continue to be out of control. What has been said so far in this article is frightening enough, but the world has yet to see the most serious plagues that will come on this earth in the very near future. For those of us that have been bought with a price (The precious blood of Jesus) we know what the Book of Revelation has to say about this very subject.

Revelation chapter 16 reveals to all who read it that the most awful and terrible plagues are coming to this earth during The Great Tribulation. Chapter 16 reveals seven plagues that are coming on the face of the earth that include, but not limited to, grievous scores on mankind, seas becoming as blood, with fresh water being smitten as well, scorching from the sun, {a person may think it is hot now}, darkness until men will gnaw their tongues in pain, hail stones that weigh a hundred pounds each and this list could go on, but I think that a person can get the idea here. Revelation chapter nine tells us that demon spirits will be lose on the earth to torment people. There are plagues that are here, that are causing pain, heart ache, and death, and the worst are yet to come are coming! Make no mistake about it! This is what is coming!

This world could have had God and His Blessings, but they have, for the most part turned their back on Him and His blessings. They denied His only begotten Son who died on the cross and shed His blood that we might be saved from what is coming on this world, very soon!  How much longer will people say no to our Creator?

A CALLED OUT PEOPLE: The Church

What is the church? Is it the building down on the corner, or is it a group of churches in a large origination? Not really. The church is a group of people that meet or gather together to worship the Lord. They are a called out people and are brought together for a purpose. This group of people are called, for the most part, a congregation who has accepted Jesus as their Savior and have entrusted their lives to Him and they come together to worship Him in the spirit and the truth. There is a local church and then there is the world wide group of people who is also called the church. If a person is a born again follower of the Lord then they are a part of the church.

The church is made up of "Called Out People." They are called out of this world and it's sin and have become a member of that heavenly kingdom. They are separated from a corrupt world system with all its life styles. They are just passing through, because this world is not there home. Their treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue. While they are here on earth they are God's representatives and should conduct their self as such. This is where some professing Christians fail short.

The truth about the church demands that it's people stay away from the worldly and immoral behavior and anything else that is not right in the eyes of God. It  makes no difference if it is at a gathering of people, or where you are at, or what you are doing. That even means to stay away from things that are not right on the internet, such as some of the things and people on Face Book. How can people be your friends when they talk trash on your Face Book Page? God wants His presence to be seen and felt by His followers {the church}. Anything that is not God's standard must be avoided by the church. We are a Holy people that is separated from this world and separated to Christ for His purpose.

The church of The Lord Jesus Christ is a army of believers that is involved in a spiritual conflict and it is not fought with earthly weapons, but with spiritual weapons. Ephesians 6: 10-17 tells us this:  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,  and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

The church is a spiritual fellowship, a group of believers who share a common relationship in their love for God, their love for each other, and their worship of the Lord. The purpose of the church is to be a witness of a common love and a care for one another. We must love every brother or sister, in the Lord, no matter what their station in life is. There is no respect of person with God. The true church is a pillar and the foundation of the truth. It must guard and uphold the truth and defend against false teachers and others who would change and twist the truth of the gospel of our Lord. We have many false doctrines creeping into our churches such as Chrislam that we as believers know is wrong. We, as Christians, can only serve one master. My parting thought is this: Is your local church built on that solid Rock? On that solid rock we stand, all other is sinking sand!

When Jesus Comes Again

Over two thousand years ago Jesus came to this earth as the Savior of the world. He was put to death {crucified} and on the third day He arose {resurrected} and returned to Heaven. To the people who saw Him ascend into Heaven, angels said to them, "........Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” {Acts 1:11} Through out the New Testament there are over three hundred references to Jesus' second coming. Some, who does not know, may ask what is the reason that He is coming again. There are many reasons why He is coming again!

REASONS WHY JESUS CHRIST MUST COME AGAIN:

  • To fulfill all prophecies:  For unto us a child is born , unto us a son is given : and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,Counsellor , The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. {Isaiah 9:6-7} NKJV
  • To triumph over death: Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep , but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of a eye,at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound , and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed . For this corruptible must put on in corruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.So when this corruptible shall have put on in corruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written , Death is swallowed up in victory. death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? {1 Corinthians 15:51-55} NKJV
  • The fact that Jesus has to be Lord over all: Where fore God also highly exalted Him, and give Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and thing in earth, and things under the earth, And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. { John 14:1-6}
  • The holy vengeance of God must be shown and carried out. God is a holy God and cannot tolerate sin: And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who shall puish with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power. {2 Thessalonians 1:7-9}
  • Jesus must come Again to reign over Israel: He shall be Great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest and the Lord God shall give Him the throne of his father David, And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.  {Luke 1:32-33}
SIGNS OF THE COMING OF JESUS:   In the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 24 we can read of signs that Jesus gives to to show us what will happen before He returns. They are famines, pestilences, and earthquakes. Another sign that Jesus gave was this: "As the days of Noah were, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be" The days of Noah were characterized by over eating and drinking and divorces and remarriages.  In the old testament in the book of Daniel 12:4 tells of another sign. Daniel says that in the end time; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge will increase.  With the internet we have instant knowledge for just about anything we want. With jet airplanes and all the interstate highways we have now, travel has increased greatly. So what could happen next?

UNTIL JESUS RETURNS CHRISTIANS MUST:  James chapter 5 verse eight tells us: Be ye also patient ; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. We also read in Titus 2:11-15 the following; For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly righteously, and godly,in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.These things speak , and exhort , and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. Everybody wants to go to heaven when Jesus comes back but there is only one way. We can go to heaven without wealth, with out being famous, without being beautiful, without a famous name, without being very well educated, without a lot of things, but no one will ever get there without JESUS THE CHRIST!
