The Other Cross

The day that Jesus was crucified, there was two other men with him, one on each side of Him. Three men died that day. One was a righteous man and the other two were thieves. On one cross was the Son of God. On the other two crosses were men (sinners) guilty of death, as charged. On one cross was the man (God in the flesh) who was there to pay for the sins of others, the other two where there as a result of their sins.

The question to be asked is: Which one of the two thieves are you? On that very day as our Lord and Savior died on the old rugged cross one of the other two went to Heaven and the other went to Hell. Something happen when the one thief was hanging there on the cross. From his cross he could see the face of Jesus. He saw that Jesus was holy and innocent of the charges against Him. Then as he looked at the face of the other thief and saw he was a sinner and worthy of death. He stood for all the people who refused to believe in Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World. The one thief said to the other thief :
"Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou are in the same condemnation? And we justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss" (Luke 23:40-41)
As the one thief hung there on the cross he realized and confessed that he was a sinner and deserved to die. He knew that he should go to hell. Conviction was heavy on his heart.
"And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom." Jesus said to him: Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise (Luke 23:42-43)
The thief put all his faith and trust in Jesus. He believed in the Lord and that is were he put his trust. Two sinners died that day. Each made their own choice. Near the cross, that day was, Mary, the mother of Jesus, the apostle John, and many others, but of the saints of God, that were there that day, he did not call on or turn to them for help. The sinner on that cross turned to Jesus, with nothing between his sin stained soul and the saving grace of Jesus. Also he did not cry out: "Oh, Holy mother of God, refuge of sinners, pray for me, I put my whole trust and confidence in the power of thy intercession." She was their at the foot of the cross, but the thief did not appeal to her or to no one but the Lord.

In this hour that we live in let us put our faith at the foot of the cross knowing that Jesus died there and shed His blood for us. We need to put our faith in Him today and not mother Mary, not a church or a preacher, not our country (we can all see how that is going), our jobs, or any other thing else. It is Jesus and Him crucified. On that solid Rock we must stand because all else is sinking sand! It was a finished work when Jesus died on the cross for us. The best thing that I ever did is when I gave my heart to the Lord!

We Are His Masterpiece

 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.  [Ephesians 2:10]
 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it." (Jeremiah 18:3-4)

All over this world, people spend millions of dollars on all kinds of art work.What makes a piece of art work a masterpiece, or something that people would pay millions on dollars for? It's takes a master to make a masterpiece. The best in, what ever is being made, has to be made by someone who takes loving care in their work. That is how our Lord is with us as He molds us and makes us in what we ought to be! Did you ever stop to think how, as Christians, we are in the Master's hand? He is the potter and we are the clay. He molds us and makes us into what He wants us to be.  We are priceless in His hands. We can trust his Craftsmanship to mold us into a masterpiece for the who world to see! Remember the old hymn of the church: Have Thy Own Way Lord.

In most of all the churches today we have leaders of denominations and preachers who try to mold or form The Lord in what they want him to be. The problem with all that is the Lord is the potter and He does the molding. We are molded and made after His divine will and not that of any religious origination. When we look at the church world today, we can see were many people just do not want to be made to feel uncomfortable or told about the sins in their live. They only go to church to be entertained  and not to hear about sin or what is wrong in their life. The preachers in these churches preach a luke warm, feel-good, do not offend the people type of messages that really does not help the people in the church. They are still clay that has never met the potter. Clay that has never been molded for the Master's use!

 Sermons are preached that have almost no mention at all of God’s pending judgment on this world, our sinful nature, punishment for sin, repentance, the old rugged cross, end time prophecy, or the clear message of salvation. The messages that are preached, are for the most part, watered down and easy to swallow.  Most of the music, in the church today consists of music that sounds like it is coming from a rock and roll band. How is that worship? Along with name changes, symbols of the church such as crosses, hymnals and good Bible translations are beginning to disappear from our churches or we have a Koran next to them. Many churches today have become mega churches and big businesses. Today when we look at some of the churches it seems, almost like, that there is so much of the world in the church and so much of the church in the world that, many times, it’s difficult to tell the difference. Churches today will do anything to fill the seats. They all want the mega church status and the money that goes with it. No sinner will ever be molded after the Lord's will in these types of churches.

In today's majority of church services, the sinner will be in church for about an hour and then leave without a clue as to the reason why they were there or why they need to be saved. The whole gospel message must be clearly preached at every chance.  It must be preached under the Anointing, because it is the anointing that breaks the yoke of bondage! That is the only thing that really matters. How can a sinner and a person in need of the Lord ever be molded by the Lord if they never hear the whole truth? The sinner not only needs to hear he can be saved, but also what he is being saved from. They must except Him as their Savior and let Him be the potter and them be the clay!

But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand.

If A Man Die, Shall He Live Again?

More than three thousand years ago, there was a man by the name of Job who asked a pretty important question and that same question is still asked by man today: If a man die, shall he live again? This all important question has been asked in every generation with all kinds of different statements given, by the religious leaders of this world. Not one person has ever got a acceptable or persuasive answer to the question unless they are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. That answer is real for we can feel it in our soul!

The one answer to that question is Jesus The Christ. He is the only exception. Of all the religions in the world and their leaders {Buddha, Mohammed, Confucius, and untold others} are all dead. Not one of them ever rose from the grave. Many people will say man is a mortal being and nothing else. Some people will tell you that our life ends forever more in death and the hope of resurrection is a dream, a fairy tail, or a misguided truth. We Christians know, affirm, and believe there is a resurrection and the only reality is death, but our Lord conquered death, hell, and the grave.

As Christians, we believe in the resurrection and should never listen to people's futile view of life. They are the blind leading the blind and know not the resurrection power of our Lord Jesus Christ. As believers of the Bible we know that:
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words. [1 Thessalonians 4: 16-18]
 When our love ones die and are placed in the ground we know that we shall see them again! We can see beyond that grave to a grand reunion day were we will forever be with our saved loved ones and the One who died for us. There will be a resurrection day!  We shall see our love ones again and what a day that will be. People may ask how we can make such a claim as this. Oh we have the answer for them, because there is an answer to those people who have ears to hear and eyes to see. We {the believers in Christ} shall live again because His body was raised incorruptible. That is a fact that all Christians have faith in.

Here is a thought that I will carry the rest of my life. In 1995 my mother was terminally ill with cancer and as she laid in her bedroom she constantly looked out the window into the sky.  She told her grand kids, when they were in her room crying, "Do not cry for me because I'm going to a better place" and to me she said these words, "I will see you again someday". My mother grasped a truth that has eluded people all over the world for centuries. The stone has been moved away! The tomb is empty and the angel said: "He is not here, He is risen!"  Oh Hallelujah for that resurrection power!

The Prodigal Son Experience

And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: (Luke 15: 20-22)

For this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life.He was lost, but now he is found.'  (Luke 15:25)

For the parents that have children that are away form the Lord the Prodigal Son is a reality for many of us. We soon realize, as parents, there are no guarantees. No matter how hard we try to teach our children about God and His Word, and no matter how often we pray for our children to except Christ and His message of salvation, some children will still reject it all! Even in the families where God is loved and trusted, some children still rebel and turn from their Christian  roots.

One of the most hurting experiences for a Christian mother or father is to watch a child’s rebellion against the Lord. Often, the more a father or mother tries to bring a child back to Christ, the more the child wants to runs away from their Christian roots. The experience of a prodigal son or daughter can be a very upsetting challenge to a Christian's faith.

All Christians know The Parable of the Prodigal Son in the book of Luke. It's the story of a  son who rebels and rejects his father's training. The son leads a wild life and looses anything of value. Not until he sees failure ans wallows in his despair, does he go home, then repents and will to do anything to win back his father's favor. To the son's surprise, he's is welcomed back home, into his father's forgiving arms. No amount of time and no amount of rebellion could get in the way of the father's unconditional love for his son. "For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found" (Luke 15:24). The point of this parable is that God is patient with all of His children. He is willing to welcome each of us home and into His forgiving arms

The road back home to God for the Prodigal Sons in this world is different for each one. However, we should never give up! God gives us the example in Luke so that we can realize that our sons and daughters may turn against God.  We must be in  prayer, always no matter how things get. We have a promise from God's  to those parents who raise their children in a Christian home: "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6 KJV).

The Royal Telephone

  1. Central’s never “busy,” always on the line;
    You may hear from heaven almost any time;
    ’Tis a royal service, free for one and all;
    When you get in trouble, give this royal line a call.
  2. Telephone to glory, oh, what joy divine!
    • I can feel the current moving on the line,
      Built by God the Father for His loved and own,
      We may talk to Jesus through this royal telephone.
  3. There will be no charges, telephone is free,
    It was built for service, just for you and me;
    There will be no waiting on this royal line,
    Telephone to glory always answers just in time.
  4. Fail to get the answer, Satan’s crossed your wire,
    By some strong delusion, or some base desire;
    Take away obstructions, God is on the throne,
    And you’ll get your answer through this royal telephone.
  5. If your line is “grounded,” and connection true
    Has been lost with Jesus, tell you what to do:
    Prayer and faith and promise mend the broken wire,
    Till your soul is burning with the Pentecostal fire.
  6. Carnal combinations cannot get control
    Of this line to glory, anchored in the soul;
    Storm and trial cannot disconnect the line,
    Held in constant keeping by the Father’s hand divine.

I Do Not Know About Tomorrow: But I Know Who Holds My Hand!

For thousands of years people have tried to predict the future and some have even claimed, as we have seen recently, to tell the future. Sometimes a few people have made some pretty good predictions. As Christians we know that only the Holy Bible has been, and always will be one hundred percent accurate in prophecies about the future. There has been many prophecies fulfilled in the old Testament by the coming of Jesus and there are more that remain to be fulfilled and we know, as believers in The Lord,  they will take place. We have a true source to all the future in God's Word.
As Christians we are aware of Jesus' promise to return to the earth, but there is is another promised event that some people fail to realize because some are less familiar with and that is the rapture of the church.
 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words  {1Thessalonians 4: 16,17,18}
Some people may laugh, at what I'm saying, but one day without warning, every born again believer, who is alive on this earth will suddenly just disappear. Like the song says "GONE". They will join believers who have died, and all will meet Jesus in the clouds. The sad thing is all those that are left behind will face the worse time in the history of the world. Those people may think that it is bad now on this earth but just wait! It will be to late for for those that heard the truth of the gospel message and rejected it.
So what will the future hold for those who are left behind? Beginning  after the rapture, the tribulation will start off with a time of great peace because a man will rise to power {I think he is already here} as a great peace maker, but that will soon change. There will be, and already is, a secret power of lawlessness at work that reminds us the end is coming. Evil will become more and more unrestrained and not held back as the history of this world comes to a close.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come,except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed , the son of perdition;Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come,except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed , the son of perdition; {2Thessalonians 2: 3,4}
We see the evil getting worse everyday and it will continue to do so and even more so after the rapture of the church. That secret power of lawlessness is a behind the scene activity of evil powers that has operated throughout the course of human history. It is a one hundred percent evil and destructive process that deceives and entraps those people who reject the Lord and the truth of the gospel. It also turns some of the church world from the truth faith and they will except the lies that will be more and more common in the church. I would say that Chrislam is one of the lies that are being excepted today in the church. We as followers of the Lord must be ready because the end is near. Even so come Lord Jesus!

Will America Be Left Desolate?

"What will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age? [Matthew 24:3]
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.          [Matthew 23:38]

Jesus told the people in who lived in Jerusalem, in that day: "Behold your house is left unto you desolate" The word desolate means to be abandoned,wasted,derelict, devastated, and ravaged. Jesus words, that He, spoke to the people of Jerusalem, in that day, came to pass in 70 A.D. Jerusalem and its temple were destroyed by the Roman Army. Jesus gave the reason for the overthrow in Matthew 23:37: "Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou killest the prophets and stonest them which are sent unto thee. How often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings and ye would not!"
In this verse we can plainly see that the Lord takes notice of what the people in Jerusalem were doing to His prophets and His people. We must take note that nothing escapes the Lord's eyes and sooner or later all will be held accountable. The same goes for America. We will all be held accountable for our actions.

We have to ask our self this question: "Will America's house be left desolate?" The majority of the population in America have rejected Jesus and His Word. The turning away from God's word, the violence and corruption that we are seeing in our society are fruits of that rejection. Homosexuals have their own rights, we kill unborn babies by the millions, a sky rocketing divorce rate, adultery and fornication, and more and more churches are closing their doors or have give place to strange doctrines. The list could go on. America is marching down the road to destruction, and has but one hope. That hope is Jesus Christ! America must repent and turn back to God!

There is a story in the Book of Jonah about God's plan to destroy a wicked city named Nineveh . Before the destruction came God sent a warning through the prophet Jonah. The wicked city, from the king down heeded the warning from Jonah, they repented, and turned back to God. God responded in mercy and that wicked city was spared from God's wrath. Will America follow the same path of repentance in theses last days or will America's House be left desolate, abandoned by God and His mercy? Will America be like Sodom? From the president on down  the people, in America, must get on their knees and call out to God!

Nineveh was a "Great City", but could not discern between their left or right hand. Through out the Bible God demanded repentance. Repentance demands that a person sees their self as they are, "A SINNER". Until that happens no one can truly repent. The people of Nineveh listened, from the king on down, and believed, because they heard the word of God preached to them. Without his preaching there would have been little hope for that city. They had faith in Jonah's preaching. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)

As with all true born again believers my prayer is: "Dear God please spare America! For just fifty righteous people (one in each state, Lord will you spare America? Will you spare that which was once so proudly called the home of the brave and the land of the free? You dear God once shed your Amazing Grace on us."  It is time for America to realize this and Repent!
