The True Church

The typical historian has no clue to the meaning of history because he ignores the only infallible and fool proof foundation for all history, the Bible. For most people, historians included, political affairs is the hub of history for any given period of the history of this world. For most people, the substance of history is the part played by the great empires of the past, including the leading political, military, and financial information associated with them. But the historians and scholars of this world have missed the point altogether. There is only one viewpoint and set of values of past history that makes sense, and that is the Biblical beliefs that are recorded in God's Word. The center of history is not the great empires of old or their modern day counterparts in today's world. To establish the center of history we must bypass all these huge empires of the past and the impressive names associated with them, and we must find our way to a tiny land, to a place called Calvary, where two thousand years ago a Man named Jesus was lifted up on a cross to die. The Man, hanging upon that cross in the midst of the mocking and jeers of the passers-by was, is, and shall ever more be, the starting point of all history. Before He was born all history lead to Him and after His death all history revolved around Him. It is so sad how Jesus is being rejected by this world. Some day and soon it will be that people will have to answer for this. We live in a nation that once relied on and turned to God for His divine guidance. Now he is not allowed in our court rooms, schools, government buildings, and we are told by certain people, in high up places of our government that we are not a Christian nation. We are a nation that is turning its back on God and soon if there is not a repentance then people will have to face the results of turning their backs on God. God is merciful but He does not stay where He is not wanted. We need to let the Lord fight our battles, but the sad part of it is people today think you are crazy when you say that. Listen, "If God be for us who can be against us?" It is time for all Christians to realize that there is "Power in the Blood of the Lamb. It is time for Christians to stand on what they believe. Man, no matter how great and famous he is cannot save us. We as Christians are to put our hope in God.

A lot of this is due to the True Church not taking a stand for what was and is right. They failed to realize that they have or did have the greatest power in the whole earth. Greater than all the bombs, guns, tanks, terrorist, and evil that could be put against them. History proves this and the Book of all books backs it up. In that true church was the power to save the lost, heal the sick, cast out demons, and set the world on fire for Jesus. The church had the power to change the course of the world! That power was and still is The Holy Ghost. Now most churches today deny the power of the Holy Ghost. It is so funny because while Jesus way on earth people believed in his healing power but not in his salvation message. Now it is just the opposite they believe in salvation but not healing. Unbelief is a terrible thing. We need once again the Holy Ghost to work in our churches, the Gospel message should be cared to every street corner in every town and city. We need to hear more about Christ and the Cross. We need more Holy Ghost prayer meetings in our churches instead of some of the things that are taking place there. We need to count our blessings and name them one by one.

I don't know about you but I want to be where the spirit of the Lord is, because where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty, freedom from all that is wrong and not right, there is healing, salvation, and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. We must do as the scriptures said: "HAVING A FORM OF GODLINESS, BUT DENYING THE POWER TURN AWAY FROM THEM". We have to live this Christian life by example and some Christians today are not putting forth a very good example. Give me that old time religion. It was good enough for mom and dad and its good enough for me. I wonder in how many churches of today when there is someone that is sick the elders are called and the sick anointed with oil and prayed for? Not many I'm sure. I'm not against history books because I love history but to me the greatest history book of all times is God's un changing Word. The Bible. In it are the words of life.
